Listening to God’s voice

Listening to God’s voice

God speaks to us in numerous ways ; as in through other Christians , a strong feeling in your spirit , or through circumstances .

We have to remember to stay in God’s word , in a daily basis,.  to get to know Him and being  in prayer , by speaking and listening Him . Being in His presence, in the stillness , that’s when you can hear Him. God  works in mysterious ways , that we may not understand .We need to keep trusting  Him , He will answer our prayer in His perfect timing , even if doesn’t , its okay , because God knows what we need. Trust Him that He will answer the prayer in due time .. God knows what we need. He is our Father .

Before I finish writing , I want to tell you about one of my answered prayers . I prayed that my husband , would go to church with me . Time passed by , nothing had changed . Then one day I came home from church , I then went outside ,looking for my husband , found him on the back porch , when he looked at me and said,  ” He wanted to start going to church , with me  ” , I have to admit I was surprised ! , I knew it that is was God ,who had answered my prayer .

Joyce Meyer book review

Joyce Meyer book review

I want to tell everyone about this book, I’ve been reading , The secret power of speaking God’s word . I love this book !  I had purchased it  about six months ago at Barnes and Noble . It has really helped me a lot .    I had felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to purchase the book , as I was walking down the aisle of the store . It was like a soft knowing in my heart , I knew God wanted to change my  heart for the better .       There is bible verses in the book  that cover over everything that you  might be struggling  with .. For example , it talks about anger ,anxiety , contentment, faith , forgiveness , grace ,etc .  All the verses are helpful, but I focused more, on the ones I struggle with .  I liked to take the time to read the verses out loud , I could really hear what He was saying to me   and then I begin to start to live it . Don’t get me wrong , sometimes I would make mistakes , but then  I would ask for forgiveness . I kept on reading the verses everyday ,  I saw improvement little by little .Is there any Christian books that you like to read ?

Sending a text with hope

Sending a text with hope

Hello everyone! I want to talk about the second way to encourage others ,by texting someone . I know sometimes texting can be impersonal , but it’s about the words , that are spoken  .  A short caring text can make a big  difference , in someone’s life  .We never really know what people going through , in their daily life   , that’s why those encouraging words can help , bring hope into their lives . People need to know that people care  , that they are not alone . That we all have problems , even though they may be different .  It’s definitely a reason to encourage others .   The text could be an opening to a deeper conversation . The conversation can lead up to relief to that person , by letting them have a chance  to open up ,and by telling them that Christ is ultimately ,the only One that can help us . He is the only One that can give unconditional love and peace .

So keep leaning on the Lord , stay in His  Word and in prayer . We need to trust Him in this journey .

True happiness in Volunteering

The true happiness of volunteering

One of the best ways, to keep yourself happy, is to volunteer . I volunteer at two non profit organizations . It makes me feel good that I’m helping people and it’s for a good cause . Which is awesome ! It can just be, a couple hours a week and it’s very flexible . Even if you work  full time , you can always fit in your schedule . It has changed my life for the good , taught me a lot about myself . I love to live with purpose , to impact  others in a positive way .

I started volunteering last year ,  knowing it was a calling on my life . We all have different callings  in our  life , but  in my heart,  I knew my calling was  volunteering .  We all know our gifts and talents are, as we grow in Christ .We need to use those gifts to make the world a better place . You can have a good impact in the workplace also , as in encouraging your coworkers and telling  them their work is  appreciated . So I hope I have given you some good ways to live a happy life .

The Unexpected heartache

The unexpected heartache

When you walk threw heartache , it can bring pain , loneliness , frustration to one’s life . We have to take one day at a time , and live within the moment and look at the positive things in life , as in family , friends , etc . Grief is a process and sometimes a tough one .

Let me tell you my story of pain , mine comes in grief . I lost my father in May , my mom   died just seven years prior  .I could still  remember, finding out he had passed away . There were  so many emotions racing over me , I thought  maybe they would consume me . Memories of my dad were painful , to say the least . At first it seemed like I had hundreds  of  memories racing threw my mind , it was like watching a movie .

I also dealt with  loneliness , I didn’t feel like people understood me . People don’t want to deal with grief , which is understandable . It’s a painful and hard topic . At first , I was at the phase , I felt like I had to get it out of my system . So I would talk to my friends about it , After a while , I got tired of hearing myself talk about it and it didn’t seem to help, . So I went into survival mode , I would push the feelings down , and act like  everything was fine , but it wasn’t .

The only One I could depend on was Christ . He’s the only one that I can count on . Even though my parents are not here anymore ,I still have my father in heaven and I’m blessed ! I’m able to talk to Him everyday ,He gives me peace and love , that I need . He motivates me to keep going and thrive .
